The Chakra System
Chakras are subtle energy points, wheels or vortexes of energy. They act as energy gateways or energy exchange points.
We have several hundred of these energy points in our energetic system but the most well known ones are the seven which are ethnically connected to the spinal column and head.
When the Chakras are healthy and fully functioning, they act as gateways for vital life force energy from the subtle bodies to energy the physical body. While at the same time providing for an exit point for lower frequency energy to be released back into the subtle bodies for transmutation.
The physical body is dependent upon this vital energy flow to maintain optimum wellbeing. Chakras can become blocked by long held negative states- rigid thought patterns, negative emotions, toxins, etc. In additions to its other functions each of the seven main chakras represents a level of consciousness or developmental stage of life.
Your chakras can reveal a lot about you. The lower three chakra tip you off about the safety and survival of your physical body, your relationships with yourself and others, and your personal power. The fourth chakra, the heart, is the point of balance in the whole system; it connects the lower three chakras with the upper three chakras that are the spiritual centres that connect you to Source. If there is any imbalance in your energy field, your chakras will let you know, and eventually your physical body will reflect what is happening in your energy field.
