Sweeping Bath
This is an easy technique for restoring your energy through the use of your breath.
- Set your intention. Sit comfortably, invoke your higher self and the spiritual guides whose assistance would be helpful to you. Set your intention to retrieve the energy you left “at the scene” which a particular individual as well as to send that person’s energy that remains in your field back.
- Choose your focus for the Sweeping Breath. Choose anyone with whom you have interacted, whether someone you love, feel neutral with or actively dislike. This person can be alive or passed on.
- Visualize the person in front of you. Close you eyes and visualize the person in front of you in as much detail as possible. Visualize the environment he or she is in— try to bring that image into focus. You don’t have to see the persons face. Then, set an intention to retrieve the energy you spent as well as to return the energy left behind with you.
- Begin the sweeping breath. Breath in while turning your head to the left, and then breath out as you turn your head over to the right. As you keep visualizing the person, he or she will come into sharper focus or you might remember times with the person that you have previously forgotten. By remember a feeling while breathing in from right to left, your breath picks up your energy, whereas your out-breath returns his or her energy. Keep focused on that person until there is nothing left to process emotionally with that person. By keeping your focus on that person, you can thoroughly retrieve the filaments and process the stagnant emotions that are depleting your energy. The life-giving qualities of breath give this technique the capacity to cleanse you.
- Disconnect. To stop, do three sweeping motions, turning your head from side to side in the same pattern as before, but this time do it with no breath. After you’ve completed these three sweeping motions, bring your head to rest in the centre. This is a crucial step in the process as it disconnects you from that persons energy.
Know that you are not disconnecting from the person; the process merely retrieves the energy that you left with that person. Doing the sweeping breath will help you get some of your energy back, and at the same time, return your moms energy to her. It’s a mutually beneficial situation— clearing a continuous cord of energy you share with that person, not cutting the cord.
